Terms of Service
The terms governing access to and use of BibleBridge and the BibleBridge API.
BibleBridge provides a Bible reader application and hosted infrastructure for delivering public-domain Scripture to websites. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Use of the Service
BibleBridge provides a Bible reader application and supporting API infrastructure (the "Service") for churches, ministries, schools, organizations, and individuals who wish to offer Scripture reading on their websites.
The Service is available as a standalone PHP installer, a WordPress plugin, and a direct API. All formats connect to and depend on BibleBridge-hosted infrastructure for Scripture data, search, cross-references, and related functionality.
Scripture content is provided for informational, educational, and devotional purposes.
2. Accounts, API Keys & Infrastructure
When you install the BibleBridge reader, an API key is automatically provisioned for your domain. This key grants access to BibleBridge infrastructure and is subject to the usage limits of your plan.
You may optionally create an account to manage your API key, view usage, and upgrade your plan. Account creation is not required to use the free tier.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and for all activity performed using it. Sharing, reselling, sublicensing, or publicly exposing API keys is not permitted.
The BibleBridge reader is designed to operate with BibleBridge-hosted infrastructure. The reader software may not be modified to connect to third-party or self-hosted API servers. Redistribution of the reader with modified API endpoints is not permitted.
3. Usage Limits & Rate Limiting
Use of the Service is subject to request limits, rate limits, and daily quotas based on your selected plan tier.
Automated controls are used to enforce limits and protect service stability. Requests exceeding applicable limits may be throttled, delayed, or rejected.
Plan-specific limits and usage details are described on the pricing page.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
The free tier is available without payment or account creation. Higher usage capacity requires a paid subscription, billed on a recurring monthly basis.
Upgrades take effect immediately upon successful payment. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard.
5. Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable. Because API access, usage limits, and infrastructure resources are provisioned immediately upon subscription, all charges are final.
If you believe you were charged in error, you may submit an inquiry for review.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to:
- Attempting to bypass rate limits or quotas
- Abusive or excessive automated requests
- Unlawful or prohibited use
- Attempts to disrupt, interfere with, or reverse engineer the Service
7. Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While BibleBridge strives for reliability and performance, uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
8. Scripture Content
All Scripture texts provided through this Service are public domain. No attribution or usage requirements are imposed.
9. Suspension & Termination
BibleBridge reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms, misuse of the API, or actions that threaten service stability.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BibleBridge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to use of the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
